In this talk, I dive into some of the complexities of transformation, crisis, and the raw nature of change, using the Death card from the Rider-Waite Tarot as a lens. I explore how different archetypes within the card - the King, the Priest, the Maiden, and the Child - symbolise our varied responses to the inevitable shifts that life throws our way. Reflecting on the way we react to change, I consider how ego, belief, innocence, and surrender shape our experiences. This is a journey of looking at how we can meet transformation not with resistance, but with curiosity and an open heart.
I chose to share these ideas as a talk rather than in writing (although there is an auto-generated transcript that I attempted to edit) because some ideas, especially around Scorpio’s raw energy, demand something unfiltered and direct - something a bit more like experience itself. Writing often feels curated, refined, or even over-considered. In this format, I can express each layer of the constellation of ideas without holding back, speaking to the interconnectedness of the themes without trimming or shaping them to fit a structure. So, join me as I share insights, personal reflections, and a few stories that bring these themes to life.
