In this reading, I talk about becoming the sign we’re looking for. We’re all signs for each other, and there’s a spark or ignition of sovereignty. A match struck in the darkness. What does that mean in a real world context? Most of the first half of this year has been about us navigating our dreams, our goals even every day situations in a different way. What worked before no longer does and yet, the newness is unfamiliar and thus destabilising.
I see this Leo New Moon as a spark of who we are and yeah, that can be an unexpected revelation or a reaction that seems alien to who we were.
This past week, in the lead up to me sitting for this reading I have been inundated with messages from people who are navigating unbelievable challenges. I do not say that lightly. Doing what I do, I am everyone’s go-to in my personal life. But I can’t remember a time where everyone around me was dealing with something this major. Many times it’s been an actual event, but for almost as many, it’s an understanding or new awareness.
If Cancer season was about feeling our way home, then it seriously feels like our hearts have been speaking to us in ways we’ve never experienced before.
One of the main things I would advise is no matter what is happening, or what you’ve decided, the first step is to trust your own judgement. This is not to say that we can’t help one another, but nobody knows us better than ourselves and that’s the key going forward into Leo season - bold and authentic expression of the self.
Yes, Mercury is retrograde, so rapid movement may not be possible, but that doesn’t mean that stagnation is the alternative. Not with four Knights in a reading, and one of them popping up twice. Let the emotional awareness of Cancer season, lead you into shining in Leo season.
There’s a notion often found in these circles where we think we have to be perfect and in a good place before we can be there for anyone else. That’s the product of an individualistic mindset that sees each of us as separate. But if our collective well-being speaks to our personal well-being, then we’re really not doing anything for anyone, it is all for our own benefit.
All we can do is honour ourselves, be aware of our own limitations and be as honest as possible. We are all capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for, and may this Leo season support us all in that realisation.
